OPtimize your glp-1 journey
Your body is changing. Make sure it's changing in the right direction.

GLP-1 (Glucagon-Like Peptide-1) is a hormone your body naturally produces in your gut after you eat. It tells your body to release insulin, slow digestion, and reduce your appetite by signaling to your brain that you're full. Basically, it's your body's post-meal manager. It plays a crucial role in regulating blood sugar levels and controlling hunger.

|
Although your natural GLP-1 is a great post-meal manager, there’s one catch: your natural GLP-1 has a very short half-life. It’s active for maybe 1 or 2 minutes before your body breaks it down. So its effects are helpful, but fleeting
|
|
That’s where medications like semaglutide (Ozempic, Wegovy) and tirzepatide (Mounjaro, Zepbound) come in. These are called GLP-1 receptor agonists, meaning they mimic your natural GLP-1 hormone, but they’re made to last a lot longer and have a stronger effect. They’ve basically recreated GLP-1, but have altered it slightly. They’ve given it armor, so that it can't be broken down, and they’ve increased it’s half-life by allowing it to bind to other proteins in the body which makes it last approximately 7 days!

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU USE A GLP-1 RA WITHOUT A structured PLANWhen you go on a GLP-1 medication, your appetite drops fast. While that can lead to weight loss, it often causes people to skip meals and eat far too few calories without realizing it. This extreme calorie deficit, combined with a lack of proper nutrition and training, can lead to real consequences.
One of the biggest issues is muscle loss. Up to 40% of the weight lost on GLP-1s may come from muscle, which is critical for metabolism, insulin sensitivity, bone density, and long-term health. Losing muscle slows your metabolism, making fat loss harder and weight regain more likely. You also risk becoming nutrient deficient. When you're eating less, especially without enough whole foods or protein, your intake of essential vitamins and minerals drops, leading to fatigue, poor recovery, and other health issues. You’re not just losing fat. You’re losing muscle. |
|
Muscle isn’t just about strength or aesthetics. It’s one of the most protective tissues in your body. It supports your metabolism, helps regulate blood sugar, protects your bone density, and plays a critical role in longevity.
When you lose muscle on GLP-1s, you’re setting yourself up for a slower metabolism, weaker bones, less strength, and a greater risk of GAINING ALL THE WEIGHT BACK.
GLP-1s can suppress hunger, but they don’t teach you how to eat, train, or build habits. Without those skills and a solid foundation, the results aren’t sustainable. I’ve seen it firsthand, but I’ve also learned how to reverse diet properly and rebuild metabolism so the results can last. That’s what I teach now. |

The GLP-1 Optimized program targets common side effects, especially gastrointestinal ones, experienced by many GLP‑1 RA users, including nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, fatigue, bloating, stomach discomfort, and indigestion.
We work with you to design a nutrition plan that's achievable and manages these symptoms without you having to think about food all day. |
|
They won’t tell you how to get enough protein when you’re not hungry. They won’t make you lift weights to protect your muscle. They won’t build healthy habits for you or give you a long-term strategy for staying healthy.
That’s what I do. |
THE wrong wayTake the drug, eat less, skip meals, avoid exercise, and celebrate weight loss... while silently losing muscle, slowing your metabolism, and setting yourself up for rebound weight gain.
|
The right wayTrain your body, feed it with purpose, protect your muscle, and lay the foundation for life after the drug. You can lose weight, retain strength, and keep your results, if you do it the right way.
